How norms change
The resources on these pages cover a range of issues related to processes that drive change in gender norms. One set of resources focus on understanding what norms are, and the broad processes that lead to change in social and gender norms.
Other resources focus on particular approaches, such as community-level initiatives, the potential for girls’ clubs and life skills programmes, to contribute to gender norms change, and the role of social protection systems in shifting discriminatory norms.
In 2019 these pages will be expanded to include more materials on working with the media, the role of the law and political mobilization to challenge discriminatory gender norms.
