Work in this area is fast-developing, and spans in depth qualitative analysis, quantitative data from local level to international indices and a range of tools, conventional and newly-developed, for understanding and measuring what changes are occurring and why.

This section is currently under development. We would welcome suggestions for topics, data sources and tools that should be featured. Please email [email protected] with your suggestions.

Tools for researching child marriage

Effective action on child marriage relies on understanding the role and nature of the norms that contribute to it. This set of tools, curated by Margaret Greene and Ellen Stiefvater of Greeneworksand the ALIGN team, outlines some of the resources that are available for researching and monitoring change in norms related to child marriage. Some have been created specifically for understanding child marriage and others can be adapted for this purpose.
