This chapter provides results from 15 years of interviews in three Bangladeshi communities to understand the evolving perceptions around female education. Shifts in women’s roles, family perceptions of education, educational aspirations, and employment opportunities, have shaped the behaviour changes underlying the sharp rise in girls’ primary and secondary enrolment in Bangladesh.
